Sir Daniel Fortesque was a knight, serving under King Peregrin of Gallowmere, who eventually made him Commander of the Army. His position was an honorary one, however. Regardless, Peregrin enjoyed stories, and Dan excelled at telling stories. However in the year of 1286, Zarok, an evil wizard and former advisor to Peregrin returned from forced exile, due to his experiments concerning the dead. During his time, he had created legions of the Undead and demonic creatures in order to conquer the realm of Gallowmere.
